"My Bedroom Growing Up"
My bedroom that I had growing up at my parent's house in sunny California was my favorite place to be as a child. As you open the door to my bedroom, the scent of lavender hits you. The lavender bush out front is in full bloom, and the front window is wide open. It is an amazing aroma! When you first walk in my room, you notice the beautiful white wallpaper that is adorned with tons of gorgeous pink roses. This covers three out of the four walls. It is very girly and I love it! To your left, there are two white, ornately-carved daybeds, one belonging to me and one belonging to my sister. The beds have comforters and shams that match the white and pink wallpaper perfectly. I remember laying in the bed at night chatting up a storm with my sister about all kinds of things, having rubber band fights, and never getting caught for it. Immediately to your right, is a long white wooden dresser with a tall mirror attached to it. The carvings on the dresser match the beds perfectly. They carvings look like little sunflower petals and are on each one of the knobs of the drawers. On my dresser is my ceramic doll collection that I got from my favorite aunt. She has so many beautiful dolls at home of her own that she does not mind passing some down to me. They are all different. Some are blonde, some are brunette, some are fancy, and some are not. However, they are all very special to me. What I remember best about my bedroom was how it made me feel. It was like a little hideaway, a place where I could go if I wanted to get away from everything and everyone. I would go there and sit and read for hourson end especially on long summer days. Those are the reasons why I consider my bedroom at my parent's house my favorite place to be as a child.
